  1. Thoroughly enjoyed the day and had a great game. The first game of the afternoon when we had to catch the ammo cans could have done with a little more explanation as we were not sure what to do with the cans when we had them, but other than that it was all good fun
  2. No idea as of yet, there's alot of planning and various factors that we need to go over.
  3. Hi matey and welcome. Just as an introduction, the Firefly games are very heavy on story and role play, there's not much shooting involved in the games at all, its not just a case of dressing up as your chosen faction and then having a skirmish. During the first game I didn't have to reload either my shotgun or pistol once. The second game was different but this was due to some rouge players not buying into the role play side of it and it completely spoiled the last half of the game to be honest. The next event has a tentative date of late July / early August depending on other commitments of the crew and staff. Price will be announced with a confirmed date.
  4. Lol, I have three of those shotguns (one 8mm version) that are gas tight and as Honest Pete will testify it packs a punch The China gas shotguns are amazing if you put the work in. If not expect to loose power and run out of gas at totally inopportune moments. As for dates, end of July / beginning of August looks most likely, but dont take that as concrete, I'm just giving people on idea of a rough time frame.
  5. Hey fellas, The relevant people are currently considering the best location / story line for a FF game, but actual dates could be a while yet.
  6. First of just want to say well played to everyone for a great days play and a big thanks to all the zombies. Post your feedback here and let us know what you thought.
  7. Next game will be a while off yet guys just while we get all the feedback on board, think over the next story and then find a date that's suitable for everyone that needs to be involved. Just keep tabs on the Z-Day Zombie Apocalypse thread and you wont miss it
  8. Great footage from both of you guys The zombie cam footage was ace. Hearing that guys pistol vent just as the zombies were surrounding him was topped only by his mates brave run to try and save him seconds later, which sadly ended in death for both involved. Thanks for all the feedback guys, keep it coming as its all valid and we take it all on board.
  9. Story brief for each team, uniform rules for each team and game rules are all listed below. If you have any questions, please post in this thread and wait for a response from myself. Your Team Leaders will have mission details on the day for you. PLEASE READ CAREFULLY - The odds are you will find yourself in a situation where you are turned into a zombie. GATES OPEN AT 11:00am Game Times are approximate: 1:00pm – 3:00pm – Game 1 3:00pm – 4:00pm – Food and Drink in safe zone 4:00pm – 5:45pm – Game 2 6:00pm – 7:00pm – Game 3 Survivors: You were a civilian worker on a Globex owned and run island. All was well with life until one day, violence and death swept across the whole island. Zombies devoured everything in their path, leaving only you brave few left. You survived by being on the run and evading the undead hoard. Now, starving and with no weapons you must venture out for supplies, weapons and ammo to make an attempt to escape this island of the dead, while all the time watching your back from the ever present threat of the zombie ranks urging you to join them… DRESS CODE: ALL CIVILIAN CLOTHING ONLY PLEASE. NO DPM, NO DESERT OR ANY OTHER CAMO. ANY COLOUR OF CLOTHING IS FINE. Globex Disaster Management and Security Service Team: The Globex plant on this island specialised in working with highly experimental and dangerous Bio Weapons. While researching a formula to make Super Soldiers, a virus to regenerate dead tissue was created. The results were an astounding success, creating a host of creatures that could never be killed, only slowed down until they regenerated enough to get up and fight again. However there were drawbacks. The virus turned people into mindless flesh hungry zombies, constantly looking for fresh meat to feed their ever hungry bodies. They escaped from the containment of the lab and the outbreak went rampant from there, with people being infected and turning to join the ever growing mass of zombies. Being loyal employees of Globex, you stand your ground and wait for the team from HQ to arrive and issue new orders. DRESS CODE: DPM’S AND DESERT CAMO ACCEPTABLE. SUITS TOO. LAB COATS AS WELL. Special Reconnaissance & Rescue Squad of the Chemical, Radiological, Biological & Nuclear Defence Department: As part of the duty of maintaining the safety of mainland Britain, the CRBN monitors all radio communications that come into the mainland from the off shore research and development plants that many private companies have on the islands off the coast of Britain. The Globex Chemical Research Plant has been brought to our attention by one of our radio operators after a distress call was logged then radio silence followed for the next week. A helicopter has been dispatched from Globex HQ with some of their best men on board to the island. When we questioned Globex, we were told it was a downed communication mast that was causing the problems. We investigated using satellite imagery and found sufficient cause for concern, images of civil unrest and mass, violent rioting. When we went to the government with our findings we were given permission to quarantine the island, with no one going in or out until we are satisfied that no threat is posed to the safety of the country. Our objective is to establish a base camp and secure the helicopter port to ensure no one leaves the island. DRESS CODE: ALL BLACK. NO MIXING OF CAMO AND BLACK. ALL RIGS AND CLOTHES, BLACK. IF YOU DON’T HAVE ANY BLACK RIGGING, DONT WORRY, YOU WILL NOT HAVE MUCH TO CARRY ANYWAY. RULES: WEAPONS ALLOWED: Spring and gas shotguns, spring and gas pistols, spring and gas rifles. NO ASSAULT WEAPONS, NO AEG'S. Usual FPS limits apply. Anyone with a high power rifle will have to observe the minimum safe distance. AMMO: Will be severely limited and checked by team leaders at the start of each game. Please remember this isn't meant to be a blast-o-rama, it's something different for all of us from the usual games of airsoft. Food Rations: These will be simple envelopes with ‘FOOD’ written on them and must be in each player’s possession at the end of a game. Anyone that does NOT have a food ration pack on their person will start the next game as a zombie, having starved to death and come back as a zombie. They will spend that whole game as a zombie, and will immediately come back into the next game as a living player. THE EMPHASIS IS WITH EACH TEAM LEADER AND INDIVIDUAL PLAYER TO MAKE SURE YOU HAVE WHAT YOU NEED TO SURVIVE. FOOD RATIONS WILL BE CHECKED AT THE END OF GAMES BY TEAM LEADERS AND COLLECTED IN. FOOD WILL ONLY LAST YOU FOR ONE GAME. Taking down a Zombie: Any hit on a zombie will result in zombies going down, the number of hits needed to take down a zombie will increase as the day goes on, much like last time. NO MELEE COMBAT ALLOWED!!! Zombies cannot be killed by Melee combat. Turning Zombie: The usual rules apply here, any zombie that gets two hands on a player will kill that player. If two zombies get one hand each on a player, they will kill that player. The player will then become a member of the zombie team and will attack living players on sight. Zombies cannot be killed, only put down; they will then get up and continue to walk around looking for prey. Player vs player: If players choose to shoot at each other, the usual rules apply and melee / knife kills are allowed in Player vs Player. NO ZOMBIE CAN BE KILLED WITH MELEE COMBAT. One hit and you are wounded. When wounded you must call for a medic. If a zombie gets you while you are waiting for a medic, you will become a zombie. There is no respawn, players will constantly be healed and brought back into the game, unless a zombie gets them. BLEED OUT TIME WILL BE 5 MINS. AFTER BLEEDING OUT, YOU MUST TURN ZOMBIE FOR THE DURATION OF THAT GAME. If you hit a player, you can take any FOOD RATIONS they may be carrying but NEVER AMMO. The hit player will then call for a medic until either healed, or they bleed out, or get eaten by zombies.
  10. Indeed mate, shotguns and gas pistols are the way to go However the guy asking about using an AEP might only have that gun available to him and don't want to exclude people based on that. As said, AEP's I'm fine with as long as the FPS is within limits and it is Semi fire only.
  11. Sorry mate there's too much black in that load out, the military team will be in blalck trousers and tops, you could easily get mistaken for military. You don't have to wear a suit. If you could pick up a lab coat you could wear that over your gear. As the white will immediately make you recognisable as Globex. Given the nature of the game planned its important that people are distinctly recognisable. I'm ok with you using the FPG as long as its within the usual rules (FPS limits and semi auto). Saying that, if you wear your suit and have an FPG it'll look ace
  12. If you want to use an AEP you can, but rules still stand on semi fire only.
  13. Yes, these are rules and always have been, but we've had incidents of this not being observed in the past. So just spelling it out here and I'll say it again : Anyone seen to be purposefully head shotting zombies will be removed from the game.
  14. Some of the zombies have asked that I stipulate that head shots are not allowed. Please remember that the zombies are actually people and a shot anywhere will take them down. We know that accidents will happen, but please be careful. Anyone seen to be purposefully head shotting zombies will be removed from the game.
  15. Everyone will start with their own guns. We know how precious people are about their gear and we wouldn't ask them to be parted from them
  16. Just a post for people who might be wondering about what weapon to bring along to this game. What you have to consider is that your team leader will be in charge of sharing out any ammo your team has. So if you bring a pistol, you may get 10 BB's for your gun, giving you ten shots. If you bring a Tri-Shot shotgun, you might also get 10 BB's, with will only give you 3 / 4 shots. Just food for thought for all of you guys
  17. Zombies added to the list. If they have radios tell them to bring them along, always helps to have all the zombies radioed up. Just finding out if there has been any drop outs, will let you know soon as possible.
  18. You can shoot another human player yes, you can then search him for his food only. Never his ammo. However, if you decide to shoot another human, it could be detrimental to your whole team. Any decisions you make will have to be for the best of your team over your personal glory, which could be somewhat short lived if you get indentified by other teams as being the man that shoots people for their food.
  19. To balance the lack of melee kills against zombies, they can now be shot in the back. Please be sensible with this, you won't need to be right up close to the zombie to blast them. The guys playing the zombies are role players and will know when they have been hit and when to go down. Also worth bearing in mind is that there will be less ammo than the last Anzio game floating around from the game start. Ammo limits will be decided closer to the time but will be decided on a "per shot basis" for your gun. Essentially what will happen is depending on your team will depend on how much ammo your team leader will have to dish out to you. Any players caught filling up a magazine in the safe zone will be made a zombie, so let's play nice folks
  20. Yeah that's fine. Any type of camo will be allowed for Globex, any type of rigging also. But as stated dont worry about having to carry much around with you. One thing I forgot to add is that torches are always advised at Anzio for use inside the buildings and games that go on later into the day.
  21. Info should be going up in the next week or so I believe fellas
  22. Get in touch if any of you boys need some fire power, we're always available for hire.
  23. My third time at a Corp Wars game and it was the most fun I had I reckon. I dont know why I didn't join up with the Mercs before I'll keep an eye out for how the finale goes, but TV reception is touch and go on these tropical islands, so if I dont know dont hold it against me
  24. That's the point of discipline though, that no matter what the situation you keep your head and do your job. It is of great importance when fighting the undead that discipline be kept at all times and people go about doing what needs to done without emotional attachments getting in way. The only we'll survive you know...
  25. The video is ace, but that firing line lacked discipline !!
