Ah yet another awesome CQB site we just keep getting these sites fall in our laps at the moment and this one is unbelievable. Prisons offer a wealth of challenges and this old HM Prison on the outskirts of Loughborough, which closed in 2011 is no exception. Regards the prison was home to some 2,000 inmates, but was closed due to policy change and the cost of refurbishment. In life the place was a sad old building but I can wait to get in there and get the rounds rocking. Look at the awesome pictures attached to really get some idea of the size of this place. For me this will be one of the best sites in the UK without shadow of a doubt Operation Anvils Hammer will be the first game and will consist of a game involving a prisoner uprising and local law enforcement forces to quell it. Obviously with the confirms of such an environment this site will be semi auto only. Loos will be provided for both male & females Shop facilities will be available on the opening day.
Yet again we bring you another new site and this one is a really nice woodland site on the edge of Bridgnorth, Shropshire More info HERE In the country side outside of Bridgenorth. Sleepy Hollow is on a slight hill and stretches off down the valley and up over the slight rise of the top of the hill. The woods are fairly thick but still very open, with plenty of open areas within the woods. The ground is made up of natural rock formations, wild garlic and other bushes (not much bracken), undulating soft terrain, lots of 4x4 dirts tracks, ditches, large ponds, ditches filled with water, fallen trees and logs. The trees grow tall and are fairly clean of low branches giving you the clean line of sight for a good distance. Dotted about the wood are huts and tractors. On the higher ground where most of the rocks and small rock faces are, there is plenty of shallow caves. As you would expect the wood is very humid. We played on a cold overcast drizzly day, in the woods you didn't notice due to the canopy cover and the terrain got you very warm quickly. I reccomend Mesh glasses as everyone was steaming up and I imagine on a hot day it will be worse. If you have been to Bunkerwood, its very similar but more enclosed and woodland but, still has the same mix of terrain with additional features and over 3 times the area.
