The action pretty much stopped at lunchtime this time round anyway, but opinions needed. Some teams seemed to like keeping going whereas some teams pretty much disappeared.

Result was some teams came back from lunch to find themselves royally turned over, or Feds waiting in their base for them. Of course some players liked being able to get the jump on people when they had their backs turned.

Bear in mind that the saloon/eating place will not be in play in the same way it was last time, but more the split Casino/Saloon idea that has come out of previous games. The eating area of the saloon would be a safezone as far as practical.

id like to stop at lunchtime, but all to stay in character, not only for the 'being done over at lunchtime' but just to have a laugth and converse more with other groups which we may not neccassarily be getting along with in game time.

i think it would also get the game going again alot smoother and faster, if its continued gameplay, it drags out and slows the pace down.

Personally I would say lets have a set lunch time, say 12.30 to 13.00, and people can stop and have some lunch at that point. I think the lunch ambush tactic is now too well known to work anyway.

Personally I like the fact that it continues, but I can also see the benefit of it stopping for an hour. As Vin says it will give people a chance to talk and even plot together without having to worry about getting shot at.

It would also give Graham a chance to speak with all the faction leaders to see how they are getting on with game objectives too.

I like the idea of a set time too. Maybe work it into the game a little too, so we could have the mayor (or someone like that) organise a 'sit down' between faction leaders, who could then order their own men to stand down while the truce holds for an hour.

i'd say that stopping gameplay for a set time would be better as it allows everyone to eat without getting their loot stolen. a bit of light role-play could also be employed so everyone doesn't feel that they have gone 'out of game'

I voted no, but I'd like to caveat it.

In FF1 the no-stop rule worked really well as we took lunch breaks in shifts to ensure we were covered at all times, whereas in the second game there wasn't the coverage to ensure that you hadn't been dry-looted while getting some food down. It was this immersion, in part, that made the first game awesome. So, yes keep the game running without a break providing the teams can rotate their members through the saloon (if they choose).

To be honest I agree with Sam on this one. A break is great but eating with your team mates back in your own base is also fun. Plus I means people can stay in character

I've voted no, mainly because I've seen it as part of the role play being managing your time but I think it wouldn't be unreasonable to brief in times where a base is off limits for 30 minutes so it could be totally abandoned by a team for lunch but players are honour bound to assume that the place is fully manned

Ran a milsim where both teams had to retreat to there CPs when a nuclear strike was being contained for a specified length of time so we could break for lunch and regroup.

I'm thinking then that this might be a 'numbers dependant' scenario - if we have the numbers to maintain the game then we should do

Sounds like the best course, but it might be worth telling players which way its being run - stopping or carry on - at the start, depending on numbers. I like the idea of not stopping and keeping in character.

id say that lunch should be served in the field (depending on site) as a themed food vendor

No break would be the best, I think that if you're stupid enough to have your entire team leave everything unguarded then so be it.

Have lunch whenerver, and have sheriff (Marshall) supervise, anyone who roll's a team ends up a wanted criminal who has all there Space monies confiscated upon death or put up as their bounty. That way only the desparate and the crazy would try it. People eat and roleplay at the same time. That said make the dining area a no fire zone so people can eat without the lead(lol)

I've fantasy larped and when people are just stood around eating you lose the immersion aspect, also you could put up a bounty board where teams can take jobs hunting down lawbreakers.

And can we get mobile chinese?
