Hi, I was just wondering about the rules regarding parental supervision and consent. I am 15 years old and I am hoping to attend the open day on the 22nd of April. Would my Dad have to participate and pay, could he wait on site somewhere or could he leave the site.

Also, I was wondering if I would have to hire a gun as I currently own a Warrior MB06 in two tone. Would I be able to use this on the day or would I have to hire.

Cheers Guys

I think your dad just has to stay on site if he doesn't want to play, but ask Bongo first ( dude with beard ). Give him a PM on the forums ( BongoOldChap ) and he will be able to confirm this.

About the warrior MB06, yes you can use it. But if the reducer is removed, then you will have a minimum engagement distance of 60ft.
I wouldn't use it with the fps reducer as it's range would be shorter than most guns. One question: do you have a back up weapon like a pistol or a shotty? You will need one at the Armoury as quite a lot of the combat is within 60ft. If not, get a hire gun.

Ok dude, thanks for the help. I have a spring shotty that I usually carry with some extra mags. Also my MB06 has the restrictor removed. Also will I need to wear a full face mask or will glasses be fine.

Cheers for the help

Full face mask. I started playing aged 15, and my parents only had to be there when i was dropped off eg to sign waivers.

Snipers ALLWAYS have a minimum engarement distance, regardless of there fps, it's to stop people going round no scoping people up close haha.
Full face is needed till you ate 18, and your dad can sit in the car, happend many a time when i have been, seen parents just sat in the car.
If you need, the hire package contains all you will need to be honest. G36C hire gun, Camoflage over alls, and also a full face mask.

Your dad needs to be on site at all times if you are under the age of 16. No exceptions. If he is going to leave, he needs to tell someone in the safe zone and they will make sure a marshal in game removes you from play. He is welcome to play though and we do encourage it as it is a pretty boring day for him otherwise.

Otherwise as has been said, yes you can use your MB06 if it passes the chrono and it has a 60 foot min engagement distance. Shooting this gun under 60 foot at people or in buildings at other people inside or within 60 foot will get you kicked off site or even banned from all FnO sites.

You must use full face protection as well at all times.

you also need a secondary/backup gun on you!
as i think jamie has now put a full stop on snipers/dmr weapons going out into the field without a backup.
as what are you going to do when someone gets within the MED?

The spring shotgun mentioned would be ok as a backup if it was under 350 with .20 bb's of course.

Shotguns are a bit long and big though as a secondary weapon for many players. A pistol would be a better option. Or just hire an AEG and have fun!

The General has it right, hire a G36 and run around like a looney not worrying about min engagement distances and chrono's get your dad to spend the day with you and get shot at too, he will love it (I am a dad and I can confirm 100% all dads enjoy shooting at their kids!)
Current Armoury:

The Gassy ones (I blame Dan Beresford) : WE 416, WE G36C
The L'eccy ones : Systema TW5, Systema M4 VLtor, TM HK416,TM Recoil Sopmod, TM Recoil SCAR-L
The Springy Ones : Shorty Shotty (Mr Epic Shotgun!)

Whilst I feel too guilty to shoot at mine, the boy's highlight of the last game was shooting me. I just prefer to use him as bait...
Some men are born mediocre, some men achieve mediocrity, and some men have mediocrity thrust upon them.
