Hi again guys. In the next few months we are going to be trying more and more new games. Thought I'd give everyone a chance to suggest ideas.

 

Vietnam will obviously feature and I intend to run a "goodies" vs "baddies" game around haloween but have your say!

How about a territory based millsim north vs south vietnam maybe with bases that are captured giving the team some kind of bonus for capturing the ground as well as acting as a respawn point when not under fire, giving the players a reason to fight for particular bases

bio-molecular neuro dis function ;)

 

one guy starts off all by him/her self some were in the wood with one thing on there mind KILL the first human they see, now the twist this can infect anyone at any time determined by a marshal or (the marshal could will change told over the radio) so if your with a squad or just near some one all of a sudden there going to kill you if told to ;) .

 

they cant be killed but can be cured by a anti- bio-molecular neuro dis function count to 10 :lol: after the person with the dysfunction is shot in the chest or back (legs arms and head don't count) the disease will stop if all players get cured.

 

the players with bio-molecular neuro dis function can spread the disease by counting to 5 with a shot player all players are on semi only but the players with the disease get full auto :D game also ends if all players get the bio-molecular neuro dis function.

 

you'd be surprised what happens in the jungles of Vietnam.

I always fancied Far Cry themed airsoft:

 

Team of wise-cracking CIA operatives in hawaiin shirts vs a team of stetson-wearing Mercenary rednecks. The CIA team would have to make a "beach" landing, then fight the mercs over various bases and secret bunkers (or their entrances at least) and locate or capture evil-science related stuff like samples, lab notes or hideous shuffling monsters.

 

They will be hampered in this task by the terrifying mutant experiments called Trigens which will be played by marshalls/NPCs/a team of sadists wearing gorilla suits and maybe grass skirts. They will be immortal and carry machine guns. They'd hostile to both teams and would jump out of bushes, chase people and generally cause hairy mayhem.

 

It would be a good summer time game because that is as close as Otley gets to being a tropical island :P It might suit being played with a bit more structure like radio comms and possibly a mild ammo limit.

All sound awesome! Of course now we have the nuke rule we'll be playing that during the colder months...

i could drop the rear seats in the estate reverse down the hill and drop off the troops try and drive back up and re join the fight haha and beers to who ever stays in the back with a heavy machine gun and covers my ass getting back up

sounds awesome see if i can get a tent pitch or cheap hotel room close by and stay over got my new torch now so wont be falling over any of them tree roots that we all love

Tournament game a little earlier than expected on the 16th of September. Putting thread up for that and the zombie game this week.

What do you all reckon to 4th of November goodies vs badies fancy dress game as a Halloween theme? Possibly a night ops style zombie evening game if there's enough interest but capped to 20 players max.

 

Also we are going to have a tournament including target practice and team play at the end of September.

 

im up for this and think my other mates will be too.

Another idea:

 

Predator - Most of you can guess the basics of this one - it would be set after the film, with teams being a CIA science team sent in to survey the blast zone being protected by a couple of spec ops teams.

 

The other team are the rebels who are also interested in why their base has been flattened and are out looking for revenge!

 

Naturally there would have to be some Predators lurking about as well. It has some scope for various capture missions as well as collecting samples. The finale could be the teams having to get to exfil zones whilst being chased down....

 

It might benefit from a proper ammo limit like 1000 rounds carried, with rearming at bases only to ramp up the tension :)

how about some rambo style scenario with some do gooders being captured and rambo and the team of mercs have to try and ifiltrate the village as stealthy as possible and if theyre caught then they have say a time limit to get the POWs (or not lol) and make it to the extraction point. they get more stuff in their favour for the next game for the more POWs they can safely rescue.

 

...just a thought haha

just been watching Dog The the Bounty hunter and its given me an idea for a game

 

3 teams

 

2 are bounty hunters you start with £5000 per team and loos mony if your players get hit and if thay die also on ammo

 

now the 3rd team the runaways with bounty on there heads the more the dangers the player the more the bounty

 

so you van have the 3rd team split up it could be £1000 for a player aquipt with a postal and £3500 for players with aegs and £4000 for snipers

 

and if you get them alive a bonus of course now as team 1 and 2 are "the good guys" if you take out the other team you also lose money and the other team gains so watch were you aim :)

 

you have to be quick around the wood to get the best bounty's and the team at the end with the most money wins simples

 

well theirs the rough idea what you think ;) its something differant

Haven't seen this game mode in a while......capture the flag! You could use the bunker area at the top or the village at the bottom, simple capture the enemies flag and return it to your base! When you are hit you drop the flag where you where hit and the team who's flag has been stolen has to secure the area and take the flag back to there base and vice versa, when either team scores you swap the sides round! Was thinking the bunker all the way down to the village but I think the team that starts at the village will have a right laugh trying to get up the hill!

Was thinking the bunker all the way down to the village but I think the team that starts at the village will have a right laugh trying to get up the hill!

 

I like this idea, Jake! For the hit rules, if you're hit, you instantly go back for infinite regen, without the need of a medic? That way it could probably make it a bit more fast paced and even more dynamic?

Ok so how about (are you ready for this?)

 

Situation - During the intense fighting between all the factions in recent weeks, it has become increasingly apparent that something stupifyingly comical very mysterious has been observing the scenes of horror from the depths of the woods. It has decided to take matters into its own hands/paws to secure its home.

 

A UN Science envoy sent to investigate sightings of a creature of an unknown species has gone missing. Their last communication was that their findings were nearing a worrying conclusion and would forward them on their next and final communication. The communication was never sent.

 

The area is still a part of a frontier land, very much in territorial dispute; two property tycoons have hired their own specialist contractors to investigate the possible existence of the creature known as.... the Sasquatch...!

THE LEGENDARY OTLEY SASQUATCH HUNT! :lol:B):D

 

Objective -

There are two teams, both of which share the same objectives, which are as follows:

  • Attempt to locate the missing UN team and gather as much intelligence, both material and verbal on the possible location, habits and activities observed on the creature. The survivors (if any) will no doubt trade this information as a reward for their safe extraction from the area.
  • The proof of existance is all that is required of the creature. It is highly dangerous and has adapted to the methods of warfare it has seen humans use in various conflicts throughout the region. You can stun the creature, take a photo with your team with it to prove you found it first (resulting in millions of pounds reward for its picture from your employer). HOWEVER, your employer grows ever curious as to the creatures identity and if it is indeed the legendary sasquatch, it would potentially serve as a lucrative business to capture the creature and allow millions pay to see it in captivity. If that is the case, capture the sasquatch and extract it to the exfil point, ALIVE.
  • Each team has the same objectives, however both are potentially harmful to one anothers contract, and both are armed to deal with the rival team if necessary. The very nature of being a contractor means that you as an individual will work for the highest bidder...Will each member of the team stay loyal to one another? Will both teams fight to the death, or will they trust each other for a time until they potentially betray their rival colleagues to the bullet.....or the hand of the sasquatch?

The first team to photograph themselves with the sasquatch (cameras held by the marshals) and extract with the evidence, or manage to extract the sasquatch alive, wins.

 

SASQUATCH RULES,

  • The sasquatch cannot be killed.
  • Gunshots will only slow the creature, but cannot paralyse it.
  • To paralyse the sasquatch for a short while, it must be knife killed or pyro'd within the usual distance of a pyro kill.
  • The UN scientists have worked on a tranquiliser that can paralyse the sasquatch for approximately 10 minutes. However there is only one vial, and the holder may wish to trade the vial for a gun to protect himself...(or protect the creature from the contractors - sub plot spoilers!!!)
  • The sasquatch can run and can attack. A simple touch/tap from the sasquatch counts as a devastating swipe theat disembowels with razor sharp claws, and as such kills a player instantly.

 

PLAYER DEATH RULES - Decided on the day of play.

 

 

What do we think guys? I think it would be a perfect game for the dense forestry Otley provides and would be very unique! Good laugh in to process too ;)
